By working in a linear, day-by-day reflection of my surroundings, colors, events and
emotions, my work becomes diaristic in nature. The "Summer Days" series is a result of one
summer's observances of weather, holidays, and activities. While working on the pieces,
I thought of them as pages in a book or "what I did on my summer vacation."
